Health & Safety Procedures

We strive to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment at our schools.

While we absolutely love laughing, playing and teaching your kids, we know that our primary responsibility is to keep your kids SAFE!

  • Sanitizing learning materials
  • A thorough Cleaning Check list System for all classrooms
  • Practicing fire and emergency safety protocols
  • Adhering to state childcare licensing department, health department, local and state government agencies and CDC guidelines
  • Training faculty and staff in CPR, first aid and Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention
  • Following Safe Sleep guidelines
  • Inspecting playgrounds twice daily

We will remain committed to our mission to give your family a SAFE place for your child to laugh, learn and grow!

Clean Classrooms

We are committed to maintaining these high standards of safety and health, and we will continue to monitor and update our protocols as necessary to ensure that we are providing the best possible care for our students and staff.

Cleaning & Sanitizing

We clean & disinfect the building throughout the day with a focus on commonly touched surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, faucets, bathrooms, tables & chairs. We do not share toys between classrooms and we disinfect any toy that comes in contact with body fluid. We use spray disinfectant for our playgrounds, play areas and buses after every play session. We use sanitation foggers to disinfect classrooms and play areas and deep clean nightly.

Zono Technologies

Some locations are equipped with the Zono Disinfecting and Sanitizing Cabinet. The Zono kills 99.9% of common virus and bacteria, and can be used on anything in our schools! These are used on blocks, toys, dolls, soft play items, art supplies, bouncy seats, activity tables, and more.

Healthy Habits

We educate our kids about how germs spread and teach healthy habits such as sneezing or coughing into a tissue or your elbow if no tissues are available. We wash our hands for 20 seconds MANY times during the day including upon arrival, at meal times, before/after going outside, after diapering or using the restroom, before/after naps and after every classroom transition.

Safe and Secure

Nurturing with Safety: Your Child's Well-being comes First at O2B Kids

Front Desk Staff

Our friendly Front Desk Staff is the first line in ensuring a safe and secure school. We make a priority to know every family in our buildings. They are greeted with a warm smile and a hello. Our Front Desks are staffed during all school hours.

Locked Doors

Once entering our lobby, doors into our schools are always locked. The front desk staff will grant access once a child is checked into our system by a trusted adult.

Sign In/Sign Out

Every child is not only logged into our computer system by a Fun Crew Member, they are also signed in and out each day by their caregiver.

Developmentally Appropriate Toys

Classrooms are fully child friendly and stocked with developmentally appropriate toys. All cleaning materials are in locked and labeled cabinets far out of reach from little hands.

Video Monitoring

All common areas and classrooms are video monitored all day long.

Food and Nutrition

Meals and snacks are an important part of what we do! Menus are posted on each schools location page and in our lobby. Our menu may periodically change to include foods representative of a variety of cultures. We use the USDA MyPlate to determine what food groups to serve at each meal or snack and follow USDA recommendations for the serving size in each age group. Everyday, Preschool students will be served all the meals on the menu during the times they are in attendance. Afterschool students have a snack each afternoon after arriving in the facility. During full-day programs in Afterschool, students will be served a morning snack, nutritious lunch, and afternoon snack.

Emergency Response Plan

We have an Emergency Response Plan with procedures for evacuations, fire, inclement weather like tornados, lockdowns, intruders, unusual incidents, and injuries. We practice monthly fire drills so all of our children and staff will know how to respond in case of an emergency. Evacuation routes are posted in each room, and fire extinguishers are located throughout the building and in each vehicle. All staff members are trained on how to use a fire extinguisher. First aid supplies are in each classroom, and a complete first aid kid is at the front desk and in each vehicle. We always have staff members on site and on each field trip that are certified in CPR & First Aid.
