Supporting Military Families through MCCYN
At O2B Kids, we're honored to support our military families through the Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN) program!
MCCYN is a Department of Defense and U.S. Coast Guard fee assistance program for military families, bridging the gap for families who can't access military-operated child care services due to distance or waitlists.
With this program, a portion of your child's preschool costs are covered, making it easier for your family to afford a quality preschool in your community.
MCCYN Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the MCCYN program, families must meet the following criteria:
Service Status
Location
Stationed at an installation pre-identified as fee assistance eligible or residing outside a 15-mile radius of a DoD installation with a Child & Youth program.
Spouse/Partner Employment
If you're married or have a domestic partner, they must be employed, actively seeking employment, or be a student.
Child Residency
For divorced or unmarried couples, your child must live with their sponsor at least 25% of the time during the month that care is provided.
Families living within 15 miles of an installation not pre-identified as fee assistance eligible, but who are still unable to access on-base care, can submit a request for fee assistance.

When Can I Use MCCYN?
You can take advantage of MCCYN if you're stationed somewhere that your service has identified as having a long wait list, or if you're stationed somewhere that doesn't have a child or youth program.
How Does MCCYN Work?
You can choose your own qualified provider, like O2B Kids, or find a program that is already participating in MCCYN. Once you apply, MCCYN can cover a portion of your child care costs!
How Do I Apply?
Visit MilitaryChildCare.Com and create an account. From there you can search for O2B Kids and input your specific needs and dates!
When Should I Apply?
You should apply as soon as you know where you'll be stationed. You can apply before your orders are issued--you can always make changes later.
